Annual Meeting: March 31 - April 3, 2012
The Westin, Charlotte, North Carolina

The 2012 annual meeting of the SIMD will be held at the Westin Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina, from Saturday, March 31st to Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012. The Westin is situated in the uptown financial district of Charlotte (description of amenities and accommodations are listed here).  We believe that Charlotte will be delightful, and we anticipate an exciting meeting.
This year the SIMD meeting will follow the ACMG meeting. There will be a joint ACMG/SIMD plenary session on March 31st featuring "Making Sense of Mitochondrial Disease". Meeting highlights include:

  • Making Sense of Mitochondrial Disease
  • Drug Development in Inborn Errors of Metabolism
  • Personalized Medicine and IEMs
  • New Concepts and Thoughts
  • Organic Acidemias
  • Sterol Metabolism
  • Posters will be displayed for the entire meeting and close to the meeting venue, allowing their view during breaks.

    • As always, we will have a Contributed paper session featuring the abstracts of our travel award winners, and the opportunity to hear and support the next generation of SIMD contributors and members.
